Mazda clubs — rotary and MX-5

Two very different communities share a badge here. Rotary ownership is a technical commitment with a small circle of people who can help; MX-5 ownership is mostly about finding a good road and going down it with other people.

What changes

What Apex Drive does for Mazda

01

Rotary records worth keeping

Rebuild history, porting, apex seal work, compression numbers and dyno sheets documented per car — the information that decides whether a used FD is a project or a problem.

02

Touring runs that hold together

MX-5 runs are long, scenic and low-drama right up until half the group misses a turn. Live lead and sweep positions, ETA-to-checkpoint and radio for the whole grid.

03

One club, two rhythms

Technical meets and touring drives run as separate event types under the same committee, each with their own caps and requirements.

Why this is worth fixing

Small marque communities depend on continuity — the same handful of people showing up, and the knowledge staying accessible when they eventually stop. A club record that holds member cars, build history, past events and dues is unglamorous infrastructure, but it is what lets a rotary community survive a generational handover instead of restarting around whoever is currently most active.

  • Live lead, you and sweep positions with distance and ETA-to-checkpoint
  • Hold-to-send SOS on every plan, free included — it is never paywalled
  • Applications reviewed against a real garage, never charged before approval
  • Club dues go to the club, not to Apex Drive
FAQ

Mazda — questions people ask

Is the garage limited on the free plan?

Free covers two cars. Premium (RM 9.90/mo) is unlimited, which matters for anyone running a project alongside a daily.

Can we run touring events open to non-members?

A public club’s events can be discovered and joined by drivers outside it. Private and invite-only clubs keep their events restricted to members.
