Porsche clubs, meets and convoys — properly run

A 911 group run is not a casual drive. Pace splits the second the road opens up, the back half loses the route at the first junction, and the person organising it spends the whole day answering the same question on WhatsApp. Apex Drive is built for the other version of that day.

What changes

What Apex Drive does for Porsche

01

Vetting that looks at the car

Applications arrive attached to a garage — chassis generation, spec, mods, dyno sheets, build photos. A committee deciding whether a 991.2 GT3 belongs on a group run can see the car before they answer.

02

Convoys that hold their shape

Lead, sweep and every car between them on one live map, with distance-to-lead and ETA-to-checkpoint. A Cayman that misses a turn is visible immediately instead of at the next petrol stop.

03

Track days without the spreadsheet

Sepang and Pasir Gudang sessions have caps, waivers and payments. Run them as events with hard participant limits, a signed waiver per driver, and dues that settle to the club rather than to us.

Why this is worth fixing

Porsche ownership in Malaysia clusters around a handful of things — Sepang track days, early-morning Karak and Genting runs, and concours-adjacent static meets where the car matters more than the drive. Those need different tooling. A track day needs waivers and a hard headcount. A mountain run needs a sweep car and an SOS that works. A static meet needs an RSVP and a location. Apex Drive covers all three as event types inside one club, so the committee is not stitching together a form, a chat group and a payment link every time.

  • Live lead, you and sweep positions with distance and ETA-to-checkpoint
  • Hold-to-send SOS on every plan, free included — it is never paywalled
  • Applications reviewed against a real garage, never charged before approval
  • Club dues go to the club, not to Apex Drive
FAQ

Porsche — questions people ask

Is this an official Porsche club?

No. Apex Drive is software that any Porsche owners group — official, independent or a group of friends with a WhatsApp thread — can use to run its membership, meets and convoys. We are not affiliated with Porsche AG or with any existing Porsche club.

Can we keep the group invite-only?

Yes. A club can be public, private or invite-only. Invite-only clubs are not listed in discovery at all, and applications to private clubs are reviewed against the applicant’s garage before anyone is charged.

What does it cost to run a Porsche club on Apex Drive?

Each club uses a one-time Club License purchased through Apple or Google. Premium Driver is separate; owners, staff and members do not need it for their club roles.
